Happy Thanksgiving!

It's that time of year where we all give thanks for the wonderful blessings in our lives...

I'm thankful for God who has so richly blessed us.
I'm thankful for the love of my husband, the smiles of my children.
I'm thankful for our freedom and those who sacrifice to make our freedom possible.

This is my 100th blog post and what a better way to celebrate than Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
On this day may you be thankful for all your many blessings!

Hadley update

Our little Hadley McCall is now 10 weeks old, she's smiling and making adorable baby noises.
Here are a few pictures....she's so pretty in pink!

Ahh, bliss....

It's hard to remember what it was like to have a sweet, cuddly, little baby who doesn't whine, talk back or push you on everything you do or say. That's why when my good friend Jen Beck snapped this at Starbucks Monday morning while I was drinking my new favorite drink, Salted Caramel hot chocolate, I just couldn't resist posting it!

Hadley, 8 Weeks old

I know I haven't been the best about posting lately, hence all the pictures I'm posting tonight. Hadley will be 8 weeks old on November 5th so a little update is in order. We are all settling into a routine with our baby girl. Carson is really good with her, loving, helpful, etc. It's us that he's really "attention seeking" from.

Here are a few other recent pics of Miss Hadley.

We love Uncle T (and Tera too)!

Before Hadley was even born, T and Tera gave Carson and Hadley matching shirts with "I love Uncle T" printed on the front. I'm not sure how Tera was left off the shirt logo but they love her too. Anyway, Hadley has finally gained a little weight and can wear hers so we took this photo tonight to let them know how much we miss them both. Come visit us soon! XOXO

Happy Halloween!

We had a great Halloween with absolute perfect weather for trick or treating. Carson enjoyed running around the neighborhood and getting candy but he also enjoyed passing it out just as much. Thank goodness because we had close to 300 trick or treaters.

The start of the week Carson wore his fisherman costume that Mac made for him...it was sooo cute with all the fishing lures attached to it. Carson loved wearing it to the Westhaven party and the then two school Halloween parties.

On Halloween day, at 4:30 pm, Carson said to me -
"Mom, I don't want to wear my fisherman costume. It's cute, and I'm ready to be cool."
Wow, that's a strong statement coming from a 4 year old at 4:30 in the afternoon on Halloween. Thanks to my good friend Kate Alfieri, I was able to pull off "cool" with no problem. Meet the new Cool Carson Winn.

Happy 4th Birthday Carson!

It's hard to believe 4 wonderful years have past since Carson was born. He's such a happy, outgoing little boy who has brought us much joy. Amazing as it's all been, it's also been a lot of work but we wouldn't trade it for the world!
Happy Birthday my sweet boy, we love you!

Carson was really into his birthday presents this year. A few of his favorites were his "string guitar" from Big and Tine and his Steelers jersey from his Daddy. As you can see below, we have a little rocker on our hands!

And finally, a "big boy bike" for our big boy...it's only a matter of time before those training wheels come off.

It just wouldn't be a birthday unless we celebrated with the "other Carson", Carson Beck.
Happy Birthday Carson Beck.

Our Little Hadley McCall

After what seemed like a long pregnancy, Hadley arrived at 7:32 am on September 10th. She weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces and was 19" long.

We are all happy to be home and are adjusting to our NEW routine. Carson loves his baby sister!

Tennis anyone?

Carson started tennis lessons today, he loved it!

First Day of School

Of course Carson has been going to "preschool" for a few years but this is his first year at First Presbyterian Church.  He has a new backpack and of course thinks he's big stuff.  He practices writing his name every morning once he get's to his desk - practices very intently I might add.

Less than three weeks but whose counting....

We are ready (of course those of you who see me regularly know I've been ready for months). Here is a sneak peek at the nursery for
Hadley McCall Winn
and a few pictures of Carson. I'm trying to really relax and enjoying spending time with him as an only child these last few weeks. He's my sweet little boy and I'm cherishing every moment...even when he's not so sweet!

The one of the two Carson's in their bathing suits a few weeks ago is my favorite, what great expressions on their faces!

And yes, I the plastic will come off the lamp shade ;o)

Yesterday while at the playground, Carson was at the top of the slide and said, "look Mom, a W." Hmm, I'm thinking, a W at the playground, where? He pointed out a rock.
Sure enough, it's a W.

June Happenings

June...wow, that seems like years ago. As the weather turned warmer, we were outside for many events.

This first photo is just so you know that Zoe is still around...she and Carson are "best buddies." She puts up with WAY more than Maggie Winn ever would.

In June we went to a cowboy and Indian birthday party for Carson's friend Fletcher. This was the second time in about a month that he's been on a horse. Carson Beck was there too and the boys had a great time playing cowboys.

Cowboys Carson Beck and Carson Winn
In late June we made what is likely our last trip before the baby is born to the lake house on Lake Barkley. Carson was all about the lake, the jet ski, and Uncle T's boat! Everything he drove he wanted to make go "super fast."

Uncle T and Carson. And yes, Teddy's hair is that long!

And finally, Tera and Carson

Beach Trip

After much prodding/reminding from my friend Jen, I'm finally guilted into blogging about what's been going on the last few months. Jen, on the other hand, has been the blogging machine lately! I mean it's not like we are getting ready to have a baby in a little over 4 weeks or anything....

First, was our late May beach vacation to Sandestin, FL. It was a wonderful time with just the three of us. Jason was able to get some much needed relaxation and Carson was in love with the sand and surf. Thank goodness since Jason and I have always loved the beach. Here are a few photos. Click on each photo to see it larger and then click the back arrow to return to the blog.

A little boy's prayer....

Tomorrow we are leaving for a week at the beach so earlier today we dropped off Zoe with BB. Carson misses her and wanted to alter his normal prayer of "Now I lay me...." to this -

"God bless Zoe while at BB's house.  I hope you have lots of fun playing and I hope you eat your food."
"BB I hope you have fun keeping Zoe.  We will bring you a shirt back from the beach, a pajama shirt, with bugs on it.  And bug shorts too."  (Note:  I hope Carson means bring BB a shirt and not Zoe!t  He might have said this because he had on his bug short pajamas.)
"Thank for you for our food."
"In Christ name we pray, Amen!"

And now a side note about this picture of Zoe - No, she's not in jail. This was taken at the lake house in March - yes, March.  I had to really search for it.  My how times have changed....

Happy Mother's Day

Nothing special to write, just a cute photo from Mother's Day (complete with snot).

Easter Activities

There are usually so many Easter egg hunts leading up to Easter that Carson is usually over the "egg hunt" activities before Easter Sunday.  Luckily this year he was more into it....hmm, could have just been the fact that there was candy in each egg.

Easter Sunday we went to church, had Mac, Bo and Jay over for lunch (BB was in Paducah)  and had fun hunting eggs and playing outside, although it was very briefly since it was soooo cold!
