SANTA 2010, Take 1 and Take 2

The first time we went to see Santa, Hadley wasn't really sure about sitting in his lap. Luckily the next time was much better....

BIRTHDAY month - September 2010

September is a special month because both kids have birthdays, Hadley turned 2 and Carson turned 6! Wow! The time is literally flying by. We celebrated all month long.

Hadley had a small party with only a few little girls. The party was perfect because it was while Carson was at school which put the focus on her. She had a great day playing with her friends and her new baby dolls. Hadley's party was featured on a blog - check out the cute pictures and read all about it here. Anders Ruff designed the invitation and the party logos. They do GREAT work and I'll definitely be using them again soon.

Carson decided that instead of a big birthday party, he'd prefer to have a special night with Mom and Dad and go see Toy Story 3 ON ICE. We actually ventured out of Franklin and Williamson County and drove into downtown Nashville - you should be impressed, this is huge for us! Anyway, we had a nice dinner downtown and Carson loved the show. It's very cute. We even managed to leave without having to buy a bunch of the crap they try to sell you at all those kids shows. It was nice to have a special evening with Carson without Hadley needing our attention too. He felt really special!

At the last minute, a few days before we were to go out on the town, Carson decided he really wanted a small party after all. Truly I think he really wanted a few more gifts. So, at the last minute I pulled together a "rag tag" party at the park. It might have been one of his best parties yet - super fun and best of all, super easy! Mix 3 (yes, THREE) Carsons, one Luke, perfect weather, a park, and cookies and you get a recipe for an awesome party!

Carson ADAMS, Carson BECK, Luke, Carson WINN - Beck, Winn and Luke all turned 6 on September 29th. Adams just a few days before. Happy Birthday you silly boys.

Happy Birthday sweet boy! I've been waiting six years to use this poem by AA Milne.

6Now We are Six (1927)

The End
When I was One,
I had just begun.
When I was Two,
I was nearly new.
When I was Three
I was hardly me.
When I was Four,
I was not much more.
When I was Five, I was just alive.
But now I am Six, I'm as clever as clever,
So I think I'll be six now for ever and ever.
